Welcome to the Florida chapter of the American Copy Editors Society, a national professional organization of copy editors dedicated to educating copy editors and improving the standards of copy editing.

The Florida chapter was formed to bring the message of the national organization closer to home, and to bring low-cost training to copy editors working in Florida. Our mission is simple -- to help copy editors achieve their best and, while doing so, improve copy editing at their newspapers.

If you want to grow as a copy editor or are concerned about copy editing, or you want to explore copy editing as a career, we welcome you to join us. While the primary focus is on newspaper copy editing, students, educators and copy editors from other publications are welcome in ACES.
